About Me

Stephanie Ford

SEO & Digital Visibility Strategist

Professionally a SEO and digital visibility strategist based in Austin, Texas, with a background that combines search strategy, content development, marketing, research, writing, and creative media.

My work focuses on a question that has become increasingly complicated: How does a business get found?

Today, visibility extends beyond traditional Google rankings. Businesses compete across organic search, local search, maps, AI-generated results, answer engines, social platforms, and an increasingly fragmented digital landscape.

I specialize in helping small and growing businesses make sense of that landscape and get seen.

My SEO work includes keyword and search-intent research, competitive visibility analysis, website architecture, content strategy, on-page SEO, local search optimization, technical SEO analysis, internal linking, performance monitoring, and emerging AI-search visibility.

I use AI extensively as a research and productivity tool—but not as a replacement for strategy. Data still requires interpretation. Search behavior requires understanding. And good marketing still requires knowing the difference between generating content and creating something people actually read.

That combination of analytical research and creative thinking has defined my career long before AI entered the conversation.

Background

Born in Houston, Texas, I moved to Austin at fifteen. Austin’s unique music scene and counter-culture captivated me, and I wanted to embrace it. Living in a suburban bubble, I yearned for the city’s vibrant energy. Immersing myself in Austin’s music scene, dance clubs, photography, and writing, I cultivated a deep love for these arts. During college, I volunteered at KOOP 91.7, a community radio station, and assisted the general manager, Louis Meyers, a founding member of SXSW at Austin Music Network Ch. 15. I worked, interned, and volunteered in the music industry with Austin Music People, SXSW,  and the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau. I coordinated a music bloggers event at Mohawk during SXSW, wrote press releases, wrote music reviews at Austin Music and Entertainment, concert and music reviews for Red River Noise and was credited as Assistant Producer on the annual Austin Music Vol. 9 compilation CD released yearly from the Austin Music Office. After earning an associate degree in English from Austin Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology and Statistics from Texas State University in 2009, I launched my marketing career as a Marketing Representative for an international probiotic company. My performance earned me the Outstanding Employee Award at headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, in 2015. I’m currently a Digital Visibility Strategist/SEO Specialist for a growing land clearing, welding, and metal supply company in Austin, Texas, and a freelance content strategist, SEO, and photographer.
