Born in Houston, Texas and at the age of fifteen moved to the heart of Texas, Austin. My world turned upside down, but Austin became a magical place to me, full of music with a unique counter-culture and I settled right in. Living in my suburban bubble, I dreamed of living on the outside. I soaked in the city, which cultivated and shaped my love of live music, dance clubs, photography, and writing. While attending college, I started implementing those dreams by volunteering at KOOP 91.7, a community radio station, and as an assistant to the general manager, Louis Meyers, one of the original founding members of SXSW at Austin Music Network Ch15. I worked, interned, and volunteered in the music industry with Austin Music People (AMP), SXSW, and Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau. I coordinated a music bloggers event at Mohawk (Red River) during SXSW, wrote press releases, and credited as Assistant Producer on a yearly released local music compilation CD, Austin Music Vol. 9. I gained an English Associates Degree from Austin Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology and Statistics minoring in Mass Communication from Texas State University in 2009. My career catapulted in marketing as a Marketing Representative for an international probiotic company, where I implemented and developed marketing strategies for sales and business development. For my job performance in 2015, I received the Outstanding Employee Award at headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. In my current position, I am a Digital Marketing/SEO Specialist for a local, growing land clearing, welding, and metal supply company, and a freelance writer and photographer. I have contributed to former local music blogs Red River Noise and Austin Music + Entertainment and to online writing communities, Hubpages and Spinditty.
As a photographer, I love portrait, art, and travel photography. I’ve worked as a contract photographer to Porsche, Maserati, Bentley, and Audi of Austin with Car Media 2.0.
